Mäkitalo participated in the 4UNI Solution Competition organized by the Helsinki Think Company as one of the partner organizations.
The finals took place on the 25th of November 2016 at the Tiivistämö facilities in Suvilahti. Seven teams in total were nominated to the finals. Mukula aspires to distribute locally produced food to urban areas and their citizens, SparCo seeks to promote the creation of social and supportive sports culture by offering coaches for the uses, Kurnia aims to provide a cooking game application for healthier food, Tutka wants to make contributing in voluntary work easier, and matches resources with opportunities. Hank’s Friends hopes to motivate you to quit smoking, Tribesy aspires to motivate students with their study tasks and spur progress of the studies and ALA matches freelance work with working opportunities through their application.
Each of the teams tackled real problems and had come up with great solutions. All of the teams presented excellent final pitches. Kurnia was announced as the winner of the competition and ALA and Tribesy were chosen as runner-ups.

All of the teams and the entire event was full of positive energy and it was great to participate to this event with you. We hope that all of the teams gained something valuable for their future plans as startup entrepreneurs and for the forthcoming SLUSH event.
