Mäkitalo Attorneys Ltd acted as the legal advisor for the majority shareholders of the change management company CCEA Oy in the sale of a majority of the shares (95 %) in the company to Gofore Plc, a listed company engaged in digital transformation services. The consideration for the shares is approximately 6.4 MEUR. The financial advisor for the majority shareholders in the transaction was MCF Corporate Finance Oy.

Partner Jani Rantanen led Mäkitalo’s legal expert team in the share transaction, which was entered into on 18th February 2021 and completed 1st March 2021:

CCEA has been a very familiar company to both me and Mäkitalo Attorneys for years. I have previously sat on their board of directors, and it felt great, if a bit wistful, to get to carry out the transfer of the company into the ownership of Gofore Plc. The whole transaction was very smooth as CCEA's founder Reetta Rajala has done an excellent job on leading her company, and has at all times also seen to it that the legal matters of the company are in knowledgeable hands. It has been a great journey so far – congratulations to the parties of the transaction!

Mäkitalo has been CCEA Oy’s legal advisor for the past 13 years.

Mäkitalo has supported us throughout the history of my company. Our cooperation has been outstanding during these years, as they have provided us with very professional assistance on an unbelievably flexible basis. We have been able to trust that our matters are administratively in a top-notch condition. During the transaction process this was evidenced in the Due Diligence analysis, which could be carried out without any friction whatsoever. From a legal viewpoint, Jani’s skilled hands made the transaction easy for us. Mäkitalo has been a great partner for us both operationally and as a knowledgeable transaction firm”, tells Reetta Rajala, Founder of CCEA Oy.
